How many of you have picked up a candle and smelled the wax when out shopping? Yes I've done that too but did you know that the best way to discover what the  candle will small like when it's burning is to smell either the lid or the glass cloche rather than the candle wax?

You get a far better idea of the complexity of the notes by doing this. If you just smell the wax you'll smell more of the top notes rather than a more rounded fragrance from the heart and base notes too.
