I’m often asked what exactly are candle notes
The notes are what makes up a candle’s scent. They are a carefully selected blend of fragrances. Very few scented candles consist of just one fragrance. When mixed together, these notes make up a candle’s scent profile.
Like perfume, the scent develops and evolves the longer it burns. Some notes are obvious the minute you remove the lid. These are called the top notes. Then there are the heart notes which appear after the candle has been burning for some time. Finally there are the base notes. This is the scent that lingers after you have blown out your candle.
